REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS.

Withdrawal, funding, and event cancellation policies for students, apprentices, sponsors, and entertainment clients.

01 / TUITION & STUDENT WITHDRAWALS

SELF-PAY TRAINING REFUNDS.

Students in a tuition-based training arrangement are expected to pay monthly tuition by the 5th day of each month, subject to the applicable written agreement. This policy does not condition acceptance into a registered apprenticeship on paying a fee.

WITHDRAWAL

Submit a withdrawal request

Students wishing to withdraw must notify Rising Star Entertainment Group in writing. The effective withdrawal date is the date RSEG receives the request.

Send notice to csmith@risingstar-ent.com

SELF-PAY

Prorated unused tuition

For self-paying students, tuition already paid for the month of withdrawal is prorated based on unused calendar days remaining after the effective withdrawal date in that billable month. Any amount due is returned to the original payer.

How the monthly proration works

The unused portion is calculated from the calendar day after the effective withdrawal date through the end of the same billable calendar month, divided by the number of calendar days in that month. The result is applied to the monthly tuition actually paid. This method applies to eligible self-pay tuition, not amounts controlled by another funding agreement.

02 / GOVERNMENT & THIRD-PARTY FUNDING

FOLLOW THE FUNDING SOURCE.

If a third party funds training in whole or in part, the governing agency rules and signed funding agreement take precedence over the standard self-pay calculation for those funds. Refunds or overpayments are returned to the person or entity entitled to them, participants do not receive cash refunds of amounts they did not pay.

WIOA / ETPL

Workforce-funded training

Any refund or overpayment owed to the responsible workforce agency will follow the applicable WIOA contract and local ETPL policy. For San Diego Workforce Partnership-funded training, required payments are returned to the agency in accordance with its policy, within 45 days of program discontinuation, or within 45 days of successful completion when an overpayment exists, as applicable.

VA / GI BILL®

Education benefits

RSEG will report required enrollment and participation changes to the VA and cooperate with any applicable adjustment or overpayment process. VA apprenticeship benefits may be paid directly to the eligible participant, however, RSEG can refund only funds it actually received and is required to return.

SKILLBRIDGE

Military transition sponsorship

For SkillBridge or another sponsor paid arrangement, participants do not receive cash refunds of training costs paid by a sponsoring organization. Any required adjustment or return of sponsor funds follows the applicable program agreement.

OTHER FUNDERS

Additional grants or sponsors

Refunds involving employer reimbursement, grants, scholarships, or other third-party support follow the governing award conditions and agreements, including any required return of unused or excess payments.

ETPL refund provisions take precedence

Where a workforce agency requires full, partial, or prorated refunds based on attendance, program completion, or overpayment, RSEG will apply that requirement even if the outcome differs from the monthly self-pay calculation. See the San Diego Workforce Partnership ETPL resources.

03 / ENTERTAINMENT CLIENTS

EVENT BOOKING CANCELLATIONS.

Clients booking professional wrestling entertainment may cancel by giving written notice to wrestling@risingstar-ent.com. The notice period is measured in calendar days before the scheduled event date.

14+ CALENDAR DAYS BEFORE

Deposit refund available

When RSEG receives written cancellation notice at least 14 calendar days before the scheduled event, the booking deposit is refundable, subject to the written booking terms and applicable law.

Please include the event date and booking name.

FEWER THAN 14 DAYS BEFORE

Deposit forfeited

When written cancellation notice is received fewer than 14 calendar days before the scheduled event, the booking deposit is forfeited, to the extent permitted by applicable law and the signed booking agreement.

Other payments, if any, are handled according to the agreement.

Why the cancellation window matters

Late cancellations can leave assigned performers and production personnel without adequate time to replace the booking. Deposits help cover reserved availability, advance coordination, and scheduling disruptions. A rescheduling request is not an automatic cancellation or refund and must be approved in writing.

If RSEG cancels and cannot provide the agreed services, refunds for services not provided will be handled under the booking agreement and applicable law. A signed event contract may contain additional event-specific terms, but no provision overrides mandatory legal protections.
